Over here, we have some C-class celeb cranks who sadly have a following. A vegan cook (I’m definitely not calling such a person “chef”) who published quite a number of books. A (former, I hope) pop singer. Some youtubers and instagrammers with several 100k followers (which, in our German-speaking bubble, already is a larger audience). Some other very un-useful idiots. I’m not even going to name them here, so somebody starts reading their crap.
Basically, it’s all the same shit as ever. The thing is: some of that crank stuff is sticking with some people. Some filters through, and by the time it reaches parts of my family it might be toned down, spun slightly differently so it isn’t associated with right-wing nutcracks any longer, but seen as sensible critique of the establishment.
Fuck this.
