Voyager 2 burst its bubble.
So our sun creates a “protective bubble” that keeps us safe from interstellar space junk. While it blasts us with the solar wind and flares. Sounds like a Mafia boss protecting his territory.
The Voyager program also provided us with one of the most contemplative photographs ever, Pale Blue Dot.

If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
It’s been a while, when are we getting Voyager 3? So much new technology and certainly more detailed questions nowadays!
I keep thinking about how impossibly fragile it all is. Most of the universe is simply instant death for anything living. We occupy a thin layer on one speck of dust, and even the things that are bound to destroy us turn out to be shielding us from other dangers. The balancing act is just wild.

Now I’m imagining it would say, “Nice planet you got here, Earthling. Be a shame if anything happened to it. What could happen? Ask a Venusian.”
