Voting is one of the rights so enshrined in the Constitution, yet many states reserved that right to those over 21 years of age until 1971. Those restrictions were never deemed unconstitutional.
That’s the kind of change I can believe in. Pity this recent round of lawmaking in WA state has gone so regressive.
Cool. They have now defined all semiauto rifles as “semiauto assault rifles”.
(25) “Semiautomatic assault rifle” means any rifle which
utilizes a portion of the energy of a firing cartridge to extract
the fired cartridge case and chamber the next round, and which
requires a separate pull of the trigger to fire each cartridge.
And hey if you are a felon you can lose that right and the right to firearms too. Yet nobody whines about that.
But oh noes little Tommy can’t get a pistol til he is 21 the tragedy.
Not going to happen in Ferry County. The average IQ there is lower than the winter average temperature.
That doesn’t mean those laws don’t apply.
Regrettably for you, neither is the notion of unfettered ownership of firearms for all purposes.
The language speaks to the right to bear arms as part of a well regulated militia. Not as something to show off at the range, hunting implement, self defense, enable mass murder or an all around penis substitute.
There is no argument here coming from a place of common sense, public safety, or the sane ownership of personal property which poses a potential hazard to others.
Personally I think your stance here is bullsht and shows ignorance of the situation at hand. Too often “2nd Amendment advocacy” means supporting irresponsible and dangerous behavior for its own sake. There is a certain degree of sociopathy involved here. As if your ownership of a deadly weapon is supposed to be without legal or social responsibility at all.
Didn’t know this was a “single-shot blunderbuss”
