I would have thought that they’d pop up when submerged - not unlike that Pixar short.

I need to go snorkeling… like now… so cool!
I’ve not snorkeled since the early '80s, when I lived in Antigua.
I think I miss it.
I first snorkeled in a bioluminescent bay in PR while on three hundred mics of lsd. Best way to enjoy all those jellyfish stings. I survived, and it was so pretty!!
So, perhaps by association, the clams acting by quorum seems psychedelic to me.
