I always have.

If I was warned not to go into the basement as there were creatures lurking about in the dark, I wouldn’t imagine it was an hibiscus waiting for me.

To be fair, that’s because hibiscuses don’t lurk (or do well in the dark). An Aubrey II might be different.

That said, most edible vegetables aren’t really living things anyway, just specific pieces of them. You can enjoy asparagus or rhubarb without even killing the plant. :slight_smile:

And from what I understand, on the tree of life, animals are closer relatives to mushrooms and other fungi than plants.
