Dont ruin my new found dream (via @anon29537550) of a small spaceship acelerating with people throwing rocks!
(OK fine millions of near massless professional baseball pitchers, and teleporters to get the rocks supplied without mass are serious engineering challenges, but so is interstellar travel in general 
)

I think there is a semi famous SF story where a space pilot defeats a much stronger foe by emptying the contents of his pet cat’s litter box into space.
