Maybe not:
Nice find!
“Free press”.
That was abc, nbc, cbs and fox. The local affiliates.
Plus the conservative version is always less tethered to reality.
I like Phil Foglio’s term “a newslike infotainment product.”
Y’all should read manufacturing consent.
Or even just take two and a half hours out of your life to watch the doc.
It’s on YouTube.
That’s if you quit. But a true rebel goes up to the line and forces the employer to sever. The penalties would be different then, or non-existent. You can get fired AND told to pay money you have not yet earned? That would be a nice lawsuit.
Si, senora. People are getting shot by overactive police, deported, neglected and not treated. It is a sad, tragic farce.
Or the quicky version.
Note that this doesn’t require an active deliberate conspiracy, only players acting out of their own self-interest.
No. You don’t tell people what to do. You made the argument; you have to provide the examples.
Your approach to what you think of as “debate” reminds me of flat-earthers and conspiracy theorists – they can’t, won’t, or are afraid to provide examples to back up their arguments because deep down they don’t want their position falling apart. You just like the “I’m right” feeling without any hard evidence to back it up. You can “claim” anything you want. Backing it up with examples is much harder, because you’re basically creating it in your head in the first place.
Or out of minimal effort and laziness. It takes less effort to parrot the script that you have been handed than to do your own research and write your own. And it seems to be less risky to your job security.
Indeed, since Sinclair apparently doesn’t allow news readers to write their own scripts.
(I like that term, a British one I think, more than the pompous U.S.ian one, news anchor. Even though news should usually be in quotation marks.)
