I did a thing like this.
It was visible on two points on the sidewalk outside the gallery.
I had guy pointing to a diagram that he had against his chest.
More details, I don’t think anyone needs.
So he has a gang of people rig the shot, then he goes click.

I like to think of it like a director or choreographer. One can create without doing everything one’s self. If this kind of role is not called “artist” then I don’t know what other term applies.
