You sound surprised at the dueling realities.
Same thing as the presidential debates.

Read more closely, this is not two men who have stepped forward saying they did this together as in mistaken for Kavanaugh and Judge. These are two different men both confessing to the assault that came forward at seperare times.
Its bullshit, too low for even the republicans to bring forward.
Bet he doesn’t vote that way.
Yeah, because it’s all about that gold digging, AMIRITE!!! #youknowhowwomenare… /s
This should hardly have to be explained, but here we go:
Every additional woman who comes forward with claims of being assaulted by Kavanaugh strengthens her credibility because it adds testimony to what appears to have been a pattern of behavior.
Every additional man who comes forward to say “it wasn’t Kavanaugh, it was ME!” weakens the credibility of the “mistaken identity” theory because we know that at most one of them could be telling the truth.
Well, they are people who thought, and still think, that Donald Trump is fit to be the President of the United States. Their views of the world are not fact-based.
oh god Graham just attact the DNC for “betraying (Ford’s) trust” after weeks of the problem being that they didn’t bring it out earlier against her wishes.
A judicial appointment ought to reflect the values of our country, and a nomination typically reflects the values of an administration. So we have to ask ourselves, does a rapey “bro” truly represent the political elite in this country?
Ok, this caused me to get soda up my nose.
Were you watching and listening to the same thing the rest of us were? She expressed multiple times her desire for privacy and to not make a media circus about what happened to her. Given the threats against her and her family that drove her into hiding do you really think she’ll have any desire to go on some kind of publicity tour over this?
Sick burn. Fully sik.
It represents the views of the Know-Nothing 27% who are so stupid and so deluded about who the country’s elites actually are that they voted not only for the party that’s been screwing them over for 30+ years but also for a narcissistic kleptocrat who claims to be a billionaire.
RC…Fond memories. Used to pour it over hard drives as early method of data destructive permanant wipe.
Flase confessions to headline crimes are incredibly common. Without conspiracy or 4th dimensional chess attempts to muddy the waters. Entirely sane people, in isolation. Will just up and decide to confess. May be politically motivated, may be seeking notoriety, may be trolling.
They’re incredibly easy to disprove and discount. And in situations like this it never works out well to promote or push them. If the GOP hangs their hopes on two different people who independantly claim to have assaulted Blasey Ford, who has consistantly described one attacker and one accessory. They’ll look rather foolish when a cursory press follow up shows 1 guy is a decade too young to have done it, and the other has never been to Maryland. Its usually that simple to sort these things out.
Right. Any damage done by such things has already been done, just by these claims getting the bit of air time they did, and still will. They inspire what amounts to doubt-inspiring rumors, which are treated as credible by people who already have their minds made up that there’s never going to be a way that Blasey Ford should be taken seriously.
No the GOP goes straight to murder allegations
Another way to read this heinous, shitty warning: to me it has a whiff of desperation to it.
I hope at least some Repubs are running scared today, instead of all of them just doubling down on ramming Kavanaugh through this process, no matter what happens today.
Their choice to hide behind the skirts of the prosecutor they engaged to question Ford shows that they were already scared. As always, the GOP is the party of cowards and opportunists.
Kavanaugh: “Listen to the people I know…”
We have been. That’s why we find Dr. Ford credible.
Amazing how Kavanaugh makes himself out to be more of a victim than Ford.
He is playing the conspiracy card.
