He deserves scorn and opprobrium from all just for saying “bold-faced lie” instead of “bald-faced lie”, treating this metaphor of an unmasked face as some kind of typography reference.

The treason is just the icing on the cake.

I always assumed “bald-faced lie” meant lying about something obvious the way a small child (who can’t get a beard) does.

(On topic: Holy shit this guy. A police officer defending the capital was killed, another lost an eye. That’s tourism?)
