One woman was convinced, convinced I say that the staff at a burger restaurant had to be illegal because, and get ready, they didn’t speak English well

I’d love to see how someone like that would cope in many parts of Britain, like Cardiff, Glasgow, Birmingham, Newcastle or Bristol.
There have been occasions when I’ve felt the need for subtitles, to help with understanding certain regional accents!
