My coop’s not heated, but my chickens haven’t come out for days. There was a brief moment of panic and two pullets flew out across the yard landing on a trimmed tree branch and the handle of a hand cart. Apparently snow is the chicken equivalent of the floor is lava. They also needed to be carried back to the coop.
I don’t blame them. I wouldn’t want to walk barefoot in the snow either.
