I like these movies but I can’t help but compare them a bit unfavorably to The Raid. Like, this is good, but I’ve already seen the best (possible?) version.

He’s not in it, but The Raid is the movie that invented this kind of hypercoreographed, no wires, low FX, realistically tacticiool gun fu. I believe John Wick wouldn’t exist without it.
