What happened to its tail / “stinger” ? It looks bobbed like a dog’s tail…

From post:

She was four-meters down when she spotted the Smooth short-tail stingray, known scientifically as a Dasyatis brevicaudata

The barb may have come off in a previous attack. They grow back after a while.

Short tail is kind of a misnomer. They are still pretty long and with sharp barbs on the end.

As it glides over the skeletons of the previous divers who dared to film.

This one’s tail doesn’t look the same as these images.

It looks “bobbed”, like a boxer dogs tail.
