If these fish lack a rich apocalyptic mythology it is only for want of imagination on their part.
For, lo, the destroyer-from-above sleeps below; but drowneth not! And that one time when The Maintainer broke the first seal and only the first seal; but it was part of the filter pump or something so it was actually really bad, ok?
The walk through aquarium can be visited in Atlanta, GA!
Feline paradise or ichthyological terror dome?
It’s true! I’ve seen it and it’s just amazing! Just don’t think about how much water is above you when you walk under the tank!

Where’s the “why not both” kid?
I think the cat waterbed in the post is more impressive, but maybe that’s just me…
The Ripley’s Aquarium in Toronto is also a ginormous walk through, under, over Aquarium. We’ve been there several times.
Our daughter and husband are currently walking through the Atlanta aquarium. They’re on a southern road trip.
They missed the pandas at the zoo by one day though.
I hope they’re having fun!
Tell her to go check out Flying Biscuit on Dekalb ave. if she wants some good southern breakfast food! It’s a few miles away - not too far from the inman park station by MARTA, or a straight shot on Marietta (which turns into Dekalb Ave)… Also, she’s close to Little 5 points if they want to shop in some weird and funky shops.
I just sent her a text, I’m not sure if they’re spending the night in Atlanta or just passing through.
Their road trips exhaust me just reading about them.
Good for them, getting out and seeing the world! Sounds exhausting to me, too, but maybe that’s just cause I’ve got other things going on… if I were either younger or already retired, this might be much more attractive!
Even if they’re are just driving through for the day, hitting up a great local restaurant should be worth the time for them. If they were staying longer, they should certainly drive up to Buford Highway for some great meals up there… Pretty much any kind of ethnic cuisine they’d like to try is up there. I just ate at a great Malaysian fusion place yesterday up there.
