Too smelly for me.
He’s going to have a houseful of stink bugs if he’s not in the south. They’ve been moving further and further north the past few decades because they hide inside homes and basements during the winter. My ex-boss’s office was absolutely lousy with them in the autumn as they bred in the tree outside her window and then moved into the warmth as it got colder.
The last bug he showed looks like a pine seed beetle. They are beautiful and harmless and elegant with their slow movements. People call them stink bugs because they stink when you crush them, but the answer is simple: don’t crush them!

They won’t survive in the desert, too hot, too dry.
Those little babies are freaking adorable.
We get stink bugs inside every so often. I’m careful to extricate them to the outdoors before the cats get to them.
