Damn. That is a helluva list.
I do think it matters, however, how much each of these people is up to the job. I suspect enthusiasm to become POTUS is directly correlated with the will to dictate. And if that’s true, I would re-sort the list this way:
- Karl Rove
- Everyone else
Rove is smart, clever, well-connected, and totally amoral. Trump is only the latter two.
I think you nailed it. Rove, far and away.
ETA: @bibliophile20’s suggestion of David Koch is an infinitesimally close second.
