What’s that? Having car trouble?
Well, there’s your problem!
Nope. Definitely no acid there.
The original NexT OS was indeed 2-bit. It went color pretty quickly.
With a little bit of Suehiro Maruo
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
All true but it’s hard for me not to compare the two for style.
I must’ve seen that but can’t say I remember it.
This reminded me of French Postcards Animated Sex Cartoons on the Apple ][.
Oh, I forgot to add…
FWIW, they did actually release some versions on floppies as it was pre-internet. IIRC, it was like $20 an issue back then and took two floppies to view one 1-bit issue.
What also made me think of this is they did have a 30 or second animated bit you could also buy that fit on a single floppy. I want to say it was made in Hypercard but don’t know enough to say that confidentally. I remember getting introduced to this comic on a mac playing the animation at a now defunct comic-con-type-thing of my childhood.
The comic wasn’t widely distributed digitally though as you describe. It was definitely more of a printed phenomena.
Floppie release ? this is cool ! (and it makes it a real digital comic by my definition)
Some of the digital publisher I know use a physical support to sell their comics.
