I think pleated pants look and feel better than the unpleated kind.
Hope they become easier to find than they are now.

Edit: to those who don’t know MLP:FiM, the ponies in question are Bon-Bon on the left and Lyra Heartstrings on the right. They are long-time fan favorite background ponies, and were established as a lesbian couple in fanon early on. In the end, this became actual canon in the show, although as a background event only. (They propose to each other, complete with rings and all.)

My first thought was that it had to do with the fact that many men are now expected to do their own ironing. But then I suppose pleats are mostly found on trousers that need dry cleaning.

I’d feel bad for a horse in pants. It would be very difficult to zip and unzip them.
At least with a half dress there’s accommodation.
