i don’t think ‘twink’ is necessarily negative. and in nyc, anyway, kids do call themselves twinks.

I’ve never heard of it being used as an insult, but I may just not hang out with douchebags these days, so perhaps there’s some string of incidents among schoolchildren and MilFPS gamers?
As far as I can tell “twink” seems mean “About 3 years until you age out of the job market.”
