Laws in Finland prevent people from living in cottages, such as the one depicted, for more than a few months per year. As a result (and despite attempts to free them up for long-term residing), they are being sold en masse and for reduced prices. But no one wants them. The upkeep is expensive and millennials have no idea how to get by without things like wifi and flush toilets.
How come there’s no photo of a toilet (detached) in London?
Nothing stops you from living in such a cottage around the year if you like, but they are taxed as vacation homes and thus have higher property taxes.
Austin is perfectly fine. I Was in San Antonio when on active duty, I didn’t hate it, didn’t love it either.
