What you think about Millennials says a lot about you, nothing about them

Me? Yes, most definitely. I will be a spritely 40 year old in a few months. And I can still easily maintain 4-5 hour Nintendo sessions. /all due to healthy living and petting every kitty I see

Cool. Now can we have a video explaining to millennials the exact same thing? I’m tired of people assuming I know nothing about computers because I was “already” 12 when I started using them; I’m tired of the surprise that I prefer working from home to the office when I’m over 40. Mostly I’m tired of reading lists of how “millennials” like to work this way or socialise that way and finding they apply to everyone I know in their 40s and 50s as well.

Marketing isn’t just screwing up generational targeting for millennials, but for everyone else too. It’s high time Netflix’s lead got followed and demographic data ignored in favour of actual preferences.

Generalization pretty much ruins everything for everyone: which is the point that Adam was making.

I know I’m going to get flagged for this, given the sensitivity of said topic; But, as the great comedian/doctor/*accused mass rapist Bill Cosby said “…the key to failure is trying to please everybody”.

*This is not to say that Bill Cosby is innocent in any/all of the accusations of rape, especially when he have admitted that he drugged his “guest”; however it should note that we can acknowledge his legacy, while at the same time be aware that even the most successful are capable of ruining the lives of others (even when they have the power/influence to get away with it).
