Whatcha Watchin' (Season 2)

Inside Out is another example, which I enjoyed, so I’m looking forward to Turning Red.

Inside Out really made me cry but I loved it, Turning Red is a little less tense and a bit more fun but it has a lot of heart too, Mei’s friends are particularly fun, although I did tear up a little near the end. (I am rather susceptible to Disney emotional manipulation in cartoon form, the bastards). I’ll watch it again for sure.

I like Priya, the serious, understated one with the glasses. I like her nerd style.

In some ways it was almost a spiritual sequel.

Speaking of Pixar, it looks like Disney brass just reversed a decision to censor a same-sex kiss from the upcoming Lightyear movie after Pixar employees publicly voiced disgust and outrage over their parent company’s silence on Florida’s new “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

No, no, no, they were jamming through the technologically backward Delta Quadrant as fast as they could, they should never have seen the same people twice

Watched Black Crab on Netflix. Noomi Rapace’s performance was good. Some plot points were odd, but it was entertaining. :+1:t4:

Flashback:

ETA: It was somewhat shocking to see real-life clips during the credits that revealed how clothing was factored into assault cases in court, as well as how long it took for certain misogynistic laws to be repealed. Well worth watching from beginning to end!

The Delta Quadrant could be very parochial in that sense, one’s sense of credibility could only stretch so far when the Kazon attacks Voyager for the umpteenth time many tens of light years from their homeworld.

I’m still trying to come to terms with Chesterfield’s accent… it’s trying to be English working class, but it’s kind of all over the place…
