They became Green Day. True fact!
Separated at birth.
By the time I find them I don’t think they’re new or obscure but…
I couldn’t sleep around 3 am today and started poking around Amazon Freevee on the Roku and found Time Wasters.
I watched the first episode and then decided to wait and watch the rest with my wife. Switched to Little House until I got up.
So probablly not new to BB folks but definitely new to me.
I had not heard of this, but yesterday by chance I saw it offered by one of the streaming services that I patronize and wondered if it was worth a look. Thanks for the recommendation.
Is there cannibalism? I’m assuming there is cannibalism. And that is something that I just have a very very very very very hard time with. Squicks me like nothing else
That unfortunately does not help new shows stay on. But more than ever I’m blaming the streamers for these cancellations. They know how much they’re investing in these shows, and they know what their calculations say are the necessary number of eyes or minutes to break even. So they should know how much they need to put into advertising these shows to entice more people to watch them – or at the very least know that they even exist. It’s the least they could do encourage viewers like us to jump on board with brand new shows.
you’re punkin me now.
didn’t even know Green Day were Irish…
They are indeed!
It’s all true! The name is a St Patrick’s Day reference! I used to go see them all the time at the Darby O’Gilman St. space!
huh.
TIL. thanks to you and @robertmckenna (who i absolutely trust in things Irish.)
i see what you did there.
back on topic… what are we watching is Tulsa King with Stallone as a mobster just outta jail prison gets sent to Tulsa by his “family”.
described as “Yellowstone meets The Sopranos” it is written by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone) and is a darkly comic, mildly violent (so far) messed up story that keeps us watching.
on Paramount+.
In answer to your question: no, it doesn’t go that route.
Excellent! I will have to watch it then!
This isn’t the Spaceballs sequel that so many of us wanted, but I’ll take it!
(Apparently it does, in fact, include an ice skating scene. Not sure if it’s the same as the one that was teased at the end of part 1 though.)
Forgive me if this has already come up, but is anybody catching Willow? I hope they can stick the landing, because i am really enjoying this.
It’s become must-see TV in my household. Even though the original film doesn’t quite hit with me, I’m really enjoying the show.
ETA: I’m really hoping we get to learn more about Graydon, especially after what he did in the most recent episode. But that’s probably better explored in a second season…unless it’s meant to foreshadow something bad happening in the finale.
Good news for Wednesday fans. Netflix has decided that it broke the viewership threshold and is worth giving another season.
Just started it ; so far, so good.
I’m late to this and haven’t finished it but it’s great and very queer friendly, isn’t it? Pirate society was very egalitarian though and it makes one wonder that those who write history may not have been entirely fair to such groups.
