Well he and Wanda were doing something underneath those sheets in Episode 2 that apparently led to pregnancy. Maybe it was an after-market customization, or just some kind of retractable gizmo.
Ha! I was just watching that.
Ok, but if you’re going off of anatomy notes in episode 2 then you also have to accept the fact that he has literal gears in his tummy that can get messed up with chewing gum, so I’d probably not treat it too much as canon.
OK, I was curious enough to check Wikipedia to learn how things went down in the comics:
The two eventually marry and, via the Scarlet Witch’s hex powers, they have twin boys named Thomas and William.
So you may be right—it turns out they got pregnant by having hex.
I’m sure her reality warping powers helped with the birth being possible even if viz wasn’t equipped with little swimmers.
Jinx!
This is an excellent, excellent film…
One of the fun things about Pixar’s Soul is that Kiwi actor Rachel House was essentially voicing the same character as she was playing in this film.
I also recently learned she was the actor who voiced Gramma Tala in Moana in both the English version and the Māori language version!
As awesome as that is I think I’m even more impressed that they got Jermaine Clement to record both versions of the Shiny song:
Oh yes. Such a funny and heart-warming and sad film, i think that Taika Waititi will go far!
ETA: By the by, what did people think of Jojo Rabbit? I struggled with it to be honest, i know it’s polarised people and there is a long film tradition of laughing at fascism but i feel a film like Death of Stalin managed the balance of comedy and horror of Stalin’s regime better than this.
Seconded, I mean, thirded! I thought that’s a great movie in many ways.
Just seen the first ep so far but already you know it’s going to be a hell of a tough watch, especially now. So many parallels to today’s spread of misinformation and creeping fear of this unknown disease. Sparkling dialogue as well, which you would expect from RTD.
Gah - ran out of Lupin episodes.
Found out Omar Sy starred in The Intouchables on Amazon!
I liked him especially in Mimacs! He’s one of those actor/writers who’s been in everything.
I finally got around to watching Wolfwalkers last night. It’s from the same studio that made Song of the Sea a few years back (which I also highly recommend, incidentally), and it’s absolutely phenomenal.
The cast is great. I think the kids who play the main characters even overshadow the adults, including Sean Bean (who still does a great job) as Robyn’s dad. The art is gorgeous, and really uses the medium of traditional animation and illustration to do things with its style that you almost never see, especially from big studios like Disney. It’s charming and unexpected and funny and beautiful and simple all at once. The story is bittersweet and sad and tugs at your heart (especially if you know the ultimate fate of wolves in Ireland…), but it’s also uplifting and funny and cute in all the right ways.
The only problem is that it’s only on Apple TV+ (for now, at least?), but I wholeheartedly encourage you to find a way to watch it even if you don’t subscribe.
Didn’t that studio also do Secret of the Kells?
Yep. It’s on my list of things to catch up on since their latest two have been so good.
Just finishing The Uncanny Counter. It’s fun, kind of goofy at times and has some heart at other times.
Just started Demon Slayer:
Song of the Sea had my partner, my 5 year old and myself mystified throughout and absolutely bawling at the end. Our 2 year old was verrrry confused. Thanks for this recommendation, i personally am in love with the art style of Cartoon Saloon (the production studio).
