Second discrimination suit filed against Houston’s Post Oak Hotel
The lawsuit alleged that an employee of the hotel’s restaurant singled out a Black woman by asking her to cover her bare shoulders.

That is some serious bullshit in the hotel’s statement
The hostess noticed on her own that plaintiff was clearly over exposed in her dress and discreetly and respectfully offered her a shawl for coverage.
On the topic of Halloween costumes:
At least the lawsuit is getting the smack down it deserves…
Here is organization that’s offering the grant…
The gentleman in the photo, Michael Twitty, is not only an interpreter but also a chef and culinary historian who provides guests with food samples. The person in the review, in addition to being a racist arsehole, managed to miss out on a unique experience.
If they think that Louisiana plantation tours will better suit their sensibilities, they’re in for a real surprise if they visit the Whitney Plantation. Touring there is meant to make you feel like you visited America’s Auschwitz. If I had my way every school child in America would have to tour it.
Yep. Sounds like they got a pretty solid “history of a southern plantation.” Probably not nearly as detailed and accurate as they needed, though, if they weren’t despondent at the end.

Just catching up here, but WTF?!?
I scrolled through that restaurant’s Insta page as far as it lets you without signing in, and among all the photos of women, you can’t find a photo of a woman without exposed shoulders.
In one, it’s a table of four white women, all with exposed shoulders.
Smdh.

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is grateful to be alive after years of addiction nearly destroyed him. In his first in-depth interview, Irsay details his painful journey with our @Andrea_Kremer
On March 16, 2014, Irsay was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance in Carmel, Indiana. At the time of the arrest, police said they found prescription drugs in pill bottles. Police said the drugs were not associated with any prescription bottles in the vehicle.
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said in a newly released interview he was “prejudiced against” for being a “rich, White billionaire” when he was arrested for driving while intoxicated in 2014.
As a recovering alcoholic, one of the big, big steps in getting sober is accepting responsibility for any shitty things you did during your active addiction. This is the opposite of that. I hate to question someone’s claims of sobriety, but that doesn’t sound like a sober person. It’s the kind of shit people say when they’re still active in their addictions.
“I am prejudiced against because I’m a rich, White billionaire,” Irsay said in an interview with Andrea Kremer on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel.
Um, and I am…
Ugh, where to even start.
