Why psychiatrists aren't supposed to say Trump is a narcissist

No dream could be as bizarre as our reality.

I discovered an eerie prediction of the two young Trumps while skimming an old movie

So what about Ablow and his BS on Fox News, constantly analyzing people? Wouldn’t it be nice if he were held to the same standard as these other psychiatrists are.

I don’t think he is, but I think about 5% of the people who will vote for him will be.

Heresy! That’s an aspersion upon the impeccable characters of Wyatt & Gary, especially having failed to factor in the good influence of Lisa, their digital genie!

There is no fun in saying hey, that guy we might elect has a documented public history of treating people badly, lying extensively, and self-aggrandizing at the expense of those under him - while apparently showing no humility whatsoever. If you don’t like the word that means that and want to call that pathologizing… feel free to not like that.

The article is about professional standards for psychiatrists, and not the peanut gallery.

He probably thinks this song is about him.

Not really going to do anyone harm if they figure out that suffering from clinical depression and doing great things are not mutually exclusive.

Though, clinical depression/mood disorders and personality/conduct disorders are a wee bit apple and orangey.

Right, no one enjoys watching the Daily Show and Samantha Bee and John Oliver talk smack about Trump. The audience of all those shows are forcing themselves to endure the suffering.

Yes, professional psychiatrists have to follow ethical standards. But it shouldn’t be hard for average schmucks to see that making fun of mental illness rarely convinces anyone to seek help. It obviously increases the stigma of mental illness, which convinces other people to avoid admitting they have a problem and avoid seeking help. It’s like a nuke that does zero damage to a military target, but does miles and miles of collateral damage to civilians. There are plenty of good people who wouldn’t vote for a racist asshole like Donald Trump, but who have depression or OCD or whatever. They know that if they are open about their mental illness, they’ll be treated like crap. They know they’ll get evicted by discriminating landlords, fired by discriminating employers. Why risk your landlord seeing you go into a psychiatrist’s office, when you can stay home and cross your fingers that it will go away and you won’t kill yourself?

But yeah, just as long as non-professionals feel free to talk smack about mental illness, that’s the important thing.

It even kind of looks like him in that picture.

Close, but it needs more orange coloring and about 50-65 more pounds of flab, to be really accurate…
