With tourist trade down, hungry wild monkeys storm city in Thailand in search of food

It had to be Lopburi.

The monkeys in Lopburi (which are crab-eating macaques, btw) are already out of control: if you visit any of the monuments in the city, a custodian will often walk around with you, holding a slingshot to keep the monkeys at a safe distance. They look cute, but they can be pretty aggressive. No surprise to learn that they’ve gone full-on feral.

And they’ll steel stuff too. Bunch of felonious monks if you ask me.

Do you know how little opportunity I get to use that pun.

OK, markets crashing, disease spreading, ravenous monkeys invading cities. . . I’m guessing zombies are next? Or maybe we need some nuclear meltdowns first, and maybe a sharknado or two.

Oh Beyonce. You crack me up but this is serious. Ravenous monkeys don’t have anything over the turkey invasion of Downtown Boston.
