Woman escapes kidnapper by leaping out of the trunk of his moving car

how horrifying, glad she was able to get away.

There’s a guy in my area who is kidnapping women, sexually assaulting them, and driving them around to multiple bank machines (which I like to call breadboxes, but everyone else finds this confusing) and forcing them to withdraw money at gunpoint.

He hit close enough the other night that we had the yard crawling with excited cops and goons in helicopters shining floodlights into the house.

He apparently nabs women who are looking at their cell phones instead of their surroundings.

That’s horrible! Hope all your friends and family stay safe!

It is a good exercise to teach your kids how to open the trunk from the inside. Less because they are likely to be kidnapped and more because in the course of playing in/around a car they are likely to end up locking themselves in. And because it is fun.

Are we talking 2017 bodies or like 1960? You could get 4 or 5 in the back in the day.

Being alone and unobservent are the two main factors most likely to make you a victim. With our phones, it is a lot easier to be distracted than in the past.

i really want to know more about this… did they catch the dude? she was super smart – glad she got away! scary to think what his plan might have been…

My first thought was to wonder why she didn’t get out before the car started moving, less risk of injury exiting the car.

But, upon further reflection, her way was just about perfect, because while she was inside the trunk and the car was stopped, she had no way of knowing where the kidnapper was. If she tried to get out at that point, she could have been caught in the act.

But, once the car was started and began to move, she knew exactly where he was, giving her the best chance to escape.

This is why I would be no good at getting kidnapped.

You can also pull any wiring you find. IIRC, some of that wiring goes to the tail lights, encouraging a police stop. Anyone who tells you that you can kick out a taillight hasn’t had to replace a bulb themselves since maybe the 90s. You’ll just get sore feet, more than likely.

There’s a sizeable bloodstain that appears after her head hits the ground. Probably not the worst thing to happen to her that day, but ow.

If it were a 1976 Coupe De Ville, you could cram the starting line of the 1980 Red Wings into the boot and Gordie, too.

Less of a crime, but also concerning is how the gas station employee picked up ice off of the ground and put it in his ice bucket and then put that ice on the drinks. Wipe off those cans before your drink them!

Thankfully, that red thing is just her hair band, not blood.

Yes and no: the newer PTs are hatchbacks, with lots of windows. Anyone walking next to one can see any “junk in the trunk” inside, unless it’s covered with a blanket. I’ll have to check mine to see where the inside release latch is.

Yeah, thats what I thought. Hair band or possibly part of her hair if the weave is lose.
