Sound like New England monstrosities are terrified of lobsters. Most likely because lobsters are their nature predator.

I’m so glad I live in a country where the bedrock is mostly granite, and mostly very close to the surface.

Where I live has a similar thing, except we’re sitting on chalk, and various people, from pirates to soldiers during WW2 have dug tunnels underneath my town (quite often following the streets), and every once in a while, a ~15-meter sinkhole opens up,
