We have a long-standing co-ed league here in Toronto too (called TOPL), and I think it’s worth noting that of the eighteen players my TPV league had during our 2014-2015 season, only two of them are also members of TOPL (and I am one of the two). The fact that almost all of our members are comfortable joining a non-men league (but not a co-ed league) really speaks to the fact that at this time, men-free spaces in pinball are really needed.
