Why in the world were they made to do it standing up instead of lying down or in a semi-reclining chair? And in a tiny little box, no less. (In addition to the stereotypical vagina/vulva confusion, which LyleHopwood already covered.)
This video did not strike me as empowering at all, either for them or for any woman watching. It made me question the guy’s motives and lack of research.

A really good friend of mine is a pretty prolific porn actress. Every so often I go to her “clubpornname.com” site because I enjoy seeing what she’s up to in her career (is that creepy? I’m a lady, if it helps), and I find it all very interesting.
I already knew speculums were a ~thing~ in porn, but I still wasn’t quite prepared for what I saw one day, as I was scrolling casually through her recent updates.
I have seen more of my friend’s vagina and vulva than I’ve seen of my own. I’m not sure how to feel about that.
No, I missed the beautiful cervix site up to now. I do remember seeing this art installation about vulvas though. (I think it was on boing boing at some point.)

this made me smile, thank you for sharing, I hope? the lovely ladies who volunteered for this project? all, each and ever one of them? walked away with a MUCH happier, better self-image. and i cannot thank them enough for volunteering, this project made me happy for the day! people feeling better about themselves? YAY!
