The news shouldn’t be balanced. I don’t want to hear some news anchor chirp on about how a local high school is adding flair to its active shooter drills, or endless interviews with TERFs and white nationalists and Nikki Haley, or anything normalizing the Trump presidency like it’s just another Republican presidency. I want people saying how fucked up this all is, in those words, and not caring about how uncomfortable it makes the white middle class.

Anyone who thinks that any news is balanced and unbiased should ask themselves “what is to the right of the Republicans?” (not a lot) and “what is to the left of the Democrats?” (at least a third of the political spectrum, and probably more.).
Mainstream is a bias. Centrism is a bias.
