So avoid watching 2001 A Space Odyssey.
The first 30 minutes are very traumatizing for tapirs.

Oatland Island Wildlife Center in Savannah, GA used to have an enormous sweet possum that they’d allow people to pet. Petunia was elderly and passed away not long ago, but they’re talking about developing a new possum for petting. Reach out to them periodically to see what progress they’re making. The Center is a wonderful way to spend a day viewing native GA animals and birds, many of whom are rescue/rehabs in progress. Oatland Island Wildlife Center

I was lucky enough to see an adult and baby tapir wallowing in mud together, each with their own jesus lizard perched on them, in Corcovado national park in Costa Rica. One of the most incredible things I’ve seen in my life.
