I never see Boing Boing staff endorsing any of these products. Cory is a novelist, did he write his latest novel using the “literate apps” bundle?
Save your money and use org mode on emacs. It’s not only free, it is a powerful professional tool for writing, editing and exporting text that will become a trusted companion for the rest of your life. Emacs is 43 years old and still under heavy development, with a fantastic community of smart and friendly people. It will easily outlive us all. As any professional tool, it has a learning curve, spending a few weeks to learn the basics of using a professional tool is well worth the investment.
