Huh, I’m amazed that they can stop the clock on an embryo like that.

I bet that IVF clinics are carefully examining their legal risks in the reproductive lockdown states, where (inevitably) losing an embryo might be classified as murder.

Sure comes in handy when they’ve prepped half a dozen or more viable embryos and you want to save some for later if the first attempt doesn’t take, or when you want the option to try for additional kids at some point in the future.
