I’d read that Cap, Namor, and Human Torch pre-dated Marvel but had no idea Vision went that far back, nor about Timely and its stable. Pretty cool.

The 1940s version of the character was pretty different; an alien cop (kind of like Green Lantern) rather than a benevolent robot. Different set of powers too.
