Engineers shouldn’t design corporate logos. Marissa, would you want your graphic designers to rewrite Yahoo! Mail’s backend? I don’t think so.

Yahoo owns Flickr, and it’s still one of the best photo sharing sites out there, especially now that they give everyone a terabyte of storage.
Yeah, that doesn’t particularly bother me (and it’s also not there when you’re viewing photos in lightbox mode).
