Once again, life imitates art.
Any excuse for a party.
That is actually a very nice scene, with just two cuts. And for the party, go for it Mexico, celebrate your amazing culture!.
Wait, this wasn’t a real thing? Pshaw! Next you’re going to tell me having a parade with 76 trombones isn’t a time honored American tradition…

Do they make everything in the city sepia-toned as well, as required by international law?
I grew up in an area that used high pressure sodium lights for most street and outdoor lighting. It might not be a sepia tone, but it has a certain charm to it.
Then they started switching them out for LEDs… …which started turning purple.
The All Souls Procession in Tucson is a predecessor to this. It started way back in 1990.
Also the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro was invented just for that one scene in Moonraker where Jaws stalks James Bond and Manuela disguised as a giant clown.
It later became so popular that they retconned it into the city’s history dating back to 1723.
