I had a wooden hand-cranked version of one of these some years ago (still do actually - I think it’s in the Toy Closet somewhere).
It’s true that you can swap barrels quickly - but (at least with the one I had) loading the barrel/cartridges themselves with bands is a tedious, time-consuming process.
If they’d motorized the cartridge loading , too, then they might really have something
