So, Bell & Videotron will now make additional money from their customers who watch TV on their phones. That will teach those evil telecom companies.

Harper neutered the CRTC in 2006 by rewriting its mandate to obey “market forces” instead of looking out for consumers’ needs.

This is meaningless and will have no net positive effect on the state of Internet service in Canada.

So, Bell & Videotron will now make additional money from their customers who watch TV on their phones. That will teach those evil telecom companies.

More like if they want to market their contracts having free streaming they have to give the same benefit to all streaming services, not just their own.

Here’s a good write-up on why free streaming white-lists aren’t good for consumers in the long run.
