The Matisse should really wrap the ankle.
Had a pair if Kahlo socks, though even then I thought it sacrilege to walk on a lovely and talented woman’s face. Made my own pair of The Scream socks and then the idea of mismatched sock mash-ups took up more of my time than I thought was wise…but it was fun!

Those designs are woven on a jaquard type loom(circular for hosiery), not embroidered.
(Textile nerds FTW !)
