Important enough because he was one if the mansion’s chief architects. According to TFA, his grave wasn’t “arbitrarily” removed, but was taken down at his widow’s request, since seeing his tombstone there right after he’d died in '72 was painful. But time has passed, and now his grandson would like it restored. Shouldn’t be much trouble, really.

You didn’t actually read the article in the link, did you? Not only does it explain why there was a grave marker there in the first place (he was one of the architects for Disney attractions), it also says it was removed at his widow’s request after he died. Special enough for you?
