Schoolly D–there’s a name I haven’t thought of in a while. I think his career got a huge extension by virtue of Abel Ferrara being a fan and using his songs in several of his movies. (It seems that “Signifying Rapper” is no longer in Bad Lieutenant because Led Zeppelin threatening to sue, which is ironic because of Led Zep’s blatant plagiarism of any number of blues songs.)

I am embarrassed to admit the first time I heard of Schooly D was on Spaceghost Coast to Coast.

Man, that 12" has been kept in press as a bootleg since the original run sold out. So damn hawd!

I really love the Saturday Night LP, too.
