Civility police incoming, deeply “concerned” about comparing Biff to Hitler.

Thanks, but I didn’t coin it; it’s old school slang.

Seems topical, sadly…

I think the old cartoons work better to make the point standing on their own.

Shortly before the sickness came I was in Dachau and visited the concentration camp museum there. What bothered me the most (besides the realization how horrible human beings can be to each other) is learning that Trump is using Hitler’s playbook. In the few months since that visit, this has only become more apparent.

I am becoming genuinely scared for the US.

Unretouched Dr. Suess political cartoon from 1940.

1930s/40s era anti-fascist cartoons seemed to have no impact on preventing fascists from coming to power, and didn’t save the cartoonist’s mother. We need a more proven effective method. Anyone know some examples of fascists who were prevented from coming to power, and how?

OMG! I didn’t notice until you pointed it out!

Thanks for this.

I was one of those soldiers in Macedonia. The excerpt mentions armed Albanians spilling into the country. We disarmed them by buying back their weapons. When the word got out, people were turning out in droves to sell their weapons. Some of them were from the late 1800’s.
