Some business owners decided not to allow looting in their stores.
There were about 1000 or so protestors at Annapolis this afternoon. Packed together like sardines going round and round the main block by the harbor. Did not see any looting or violence but I did see a few hundred of them wearing identically silk screened tshirts with the same BLM message on them. The police were just directing traffic but in a small alley there was an APC with 20 or so SWAT officers dressed like they were hitting Felujia and a paddywagon hidden from view.
In Houston today, tens of thousands of people came out including George Floyd’s family. It was a powerful scene.
Although this weekend >500 were arrested, its been thankfully mostly quiet by HPD standards.
After the official march ended tonight the police announced “Leave the area immediately or you will be subject to arrest and additional force may be used against you.” Still looks like things will remain fairly calm
