While it probably ended weeks ago, I think the days of a Russian conscript peacefully surrendering and being fed a good meal and allowed to call home are over.

didn’t it used to be ( maybe still is? ) that civilian gps was downgraded from military gps. same signal, but something about encrypted data?

so good enough for driving or walking, but not enough for precision targeting

Used to be the case, but that was disabled back in the Clinton years.

This will hopefully help keep the Ukrainian economy running and allow repairing some of the damage away from the front lines. But it will be a long time before anyone can live again in recaptured towns:

What is the point of articles like that? Of fucking course what happened in Bosnia (and Syria and Rwanda, etc.) was horrible but I don’t see how pointing this out during what looks more and more like an ongoing genocide helps at all. I guess it fills column inches, so that’s something.
