2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 2)

As I understand it, it’s not inevitable at all. Not only is opposition to Russia and support for Ukraine pretty broad among older and/or saner Republican voters, and the congressional GOP, but doesn’t the lend-lease authorization basically mean Biden can keep sending aid to Ukraine no matter how much the Trumpoids howl?

They’ll starve it of funding and resources however they can. Republicans, including the party establishment, understand how much Putin has done to help them since 2015. Since they want ( really need) him to keep sowing division and disinformation going forward, the “America First” wing will set the tone for the rest of the GOP.

Russian propagandists and social media tr0lls seem a lot more disciplined and willing to follow orders than the mobiks in the field are. Maybe Putin will have fewer failures in Ukraine by switching them out.

Because the chairborne rangers are scared of being sent into actual fighting, that’s why they are such obedient little workers. It’s easy to follow orders and maintain strict discipline if you know the alternative is getting a gun shoved in your hand and your arse sent to “defend” the Donbas.
