Just spitballing here, but I’d say the objectives are pretty clear:
- disrupt supply lines
- cause havoc behind enemy positions
- relieve pressure on other fronts as the enemy is forced to respond
- maybe distract whilst other plans go into motion? I can imagine the incursion allowing other forces to penetrate deep to attack those airbases where the glide bombs are coming from. Or an assault on Crimea.
