Putin and Russian state media: Ukrainians on occupied by Russia territories are happy to become part of Russia!

Russian war volunteers who visit these areas:

  • more than 70% of Ukrainians leaking information about Russian forces to Ukraine;
  • even old people ready to help Ukraine to hit Russian forces;
  • Russians afraid to stay in night among civilians on occupied territories;
  • Ukrainians hate Russian soldiers and volunteers and not give them fuel services;
  • Ukrainians don’t need “Russian world” in Ukraine;
  • most of Ukrainians on occupied territories is Ukrainian people who speaks Ukrainian language…

So for what “liberation” Russia killed hundred thousands of Ukrainians and destroy entire Ukrainian cities in the Donbas???

There may be a way through to this stupid invasion ending due to multiple and serial troop mutinies in the field. This is an old Russian tradition, mostly made possible thanks to incompetent and corrupt leaders who are openly contemptuous of the troops. That information eventually gets back to the home front, even to the droolers who buy what state TV is selling. However, that path is also a bloody and ugly one for a lot of the common people in both Russia and Ukraine.

In the context of the interview, this seems to make sense. The question was clearly about what role Wagner will play going forward:

“the reporter asked Putin if Wagner would continue to be a combat unit carrying out operations for the Kremlin.”

Putins’ reply that:

“Wagner does not exist!” he replied, adding: “We don’t have a law on private military organizations! It just does not exist!"

makes sense. there is no longer a “Wagner” fighting force."

The Russian constitution forbids mercenary activity, so there has never been an official Wagner corporate entity. Prigozhin uses his other companies to handle Wagner’s business affairs.

Pro-Russia trollies have always exploited this situation to claim that Wagner literally does not exist.

Agreed. I was confused by the article’s confusion. Although I expect that confusion wasn’t real and was just rhetorical.

Yeah, yeah, random battle footage, but it’s Friday and this just seems emblematic of the decrepit, outdated, inadequately adapted, almost zombie-like state of the :ru: forces at the moment.

At least, we hope it’s that bad for :ru:

They’ve helpfully pre-destroyed the tank for the Ukrainians.

Russian story regarding this incident- “The tank was leaving, and there was an arrival, a gunner and a driver-200. The commander miraculously escaped. The guys from the 291st regiment, the tank drove until it ran into a ditch, where our guys had already approached, because there was a risk of detonation of the tank. Rest in peace heroes. The boys will surely get their revenge!”

“Arrival” = incoming fire
“200” = dead

2 rifles remaining for 22 people.

Even a monster like Stalin did better for his troops.
